Hi guys,

I have an old lenovo laptop (ideapad y530 (2009))  It was previously running windows vista 32 bit. I tried to install windows 10 32 bit on it. But after booting up from the usb I keep getting the "critical process died" error. How can I fix this? I can install ubuntu perfectly fine. Only windows 10 seems to have this issue.

Specs:

Intel core 2 duo 2.0 Ghz

Ram: 4GB

Windows for home | Windows 10 | Install and upgrade

Did you create Windows 10 installer using Windows 10 Media Creation Tool?

Check Lenovo support website and download and install the latest driver for your device : Home - PC Support - Lenovo Support US

In case Windows installer failed, it will create log file in the location: Log files that are created when you upgrade to a new version of Windows (microsoft.com)

You may boot into Windows Vista and look into these log files and it might show you what caused this error.
