Ran into the same type of issue today with a client. Going into the Teams Settings > General > Application and enabling the 'Disable GPU hardware acceleration...' seems to have fixed the issue on our end.

For some reasons, the text display was broken up in the MS Teams yesterday for me and there was nothing I can do to fix it (including reinstalling).
How do I get to solve this issue?

To further troubleshoot the issue, please confirm the following information:
- If you set your account in another computer, does the issue persist?
- Do other users in your organization have the same problem?
- Does the issue occur after the recent update?
- If you download the file in Teams client and open it, will it display correctly in your device?

Justin Savage 11 Reputation points2021-07-07T11:14:01.573+00:00 This worked for me too. I ticked the 'Disable GPU hardware acceleration...' and restarted Teams. I've now gone back and unticked 'Disable GPU hardware acceleration...' and the problem hasn't come back yet!

As an additional hint: For me, it seemed like the issue is getting worse immediately, when running VS19 and starting an application out of it.

The other computer's video driver crashes when GIFs are sent which is admittedly more annoying.-

So we can confirm this issue is not related to your Teams account. To exclude the client issue, it recommends you try to follow these tips to clear your client cache file to see if it can be fixed.
1.Fully close Microsoft Teams and Outlook.
2.While holding the Windows key, press R to open Windows Run, then copy and paste the following into the box and click OK:
%appdata%\Microsoft
3.Find the Teams folder, then right click it and select Delete
4.Relaunch Microsoft Teams. You should now be prompted to sign back into Teams. -

Have you tried to login Teams web client to see if can be fixed?
It is really strange. If you open the document in SharePoint Online, will it be show normally?

The problem is getting more serious in my opinion. Nothing really helps :( -

Please try to perform a clean boot to exclude whether a background program is interfering with Teams.

I have tried the GPU method but it sometimes works temporary and other times it does not. it happens to several computers in my network. I've tried uninstall and re-install but that hasn't helped either. It also happens when downloading a document from SharePoint. which is making me wonder if its just a teams issue.
