Same Product key of Windows 10 Pro on multiple devices

Hello,

Whenever we install/reinstall the units OS Windows 10 PRO with OLP installer/Product Key, It does not activate automatically unless you key in the product key.

But whenever we reinstall it using WIN10 Pro Retailer installer and used OLP Product Key it will activate but with different Product Key reflected in the system. (slmgr /dlv command)

We tested it in 4 units and found same product key whenever we reinstall the OS using Retailer WIN10 PRO installer PRODUCT KEY : VK7JG-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-3V66T When I checked in the internet this Product Key is widely used for people wants to activate their OS with no license key purchased.

Any idea on this?

Hi Jovs,

We don’t need to conceal anything, VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T is a Windows 10 Pro RTM Generic Key(retail), which allow us to install or upgrade to Pro edition but will not activate it, this key comes from Microsoft, it is public.
The users who use this key can only pass the installation process or upgrade a Home edition to a Pro edition, but they still need to buy a valid Pro edition license to activate their Windows.
Installation key is not activation key, install key can only make system install successfully, while activation key(license) can make system install successfully and activate successfully.
Therefore, you don’t need to worry about your right will be infringed.
