When i go into File Explorer and right click on This Pc, and drop down to this properties, the 'control panel' does not open up like it used to.

Instead the 'Settings' app opens up onto the 'About' page, where it says ' Your Pc is being monitored and protected' I dont know if this message is normal, but I want to know why i can not access the properties of This Pc.

Thank you

    Hello alanLiang123,

I'm John an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you. I'll be happy to assist you today.

With the release of Windows version 2004 or later, Microsoft is now preventing access to the SYSTEM control panel and redirecting users to the newly updated "About" settings page. The System Applet was removed from Control Panel, this is why you can no longer access it.

You can try the method below to show your System Properties

Open File explorer then click "This PC" on the left side

Right click the empty space on the right side

    Select Properties
