Bluetooth uninstalled from device manager

Hello

The Bluetooth icon on my laptop disappeared earlier this morning from both the toggle keys and the notification panel. Added to that, the Bluetooth on/off button also disappeared from the Bluetooth Settings. Even in the Device Manager, Bluetooth appeared in the "Hidden icons" section, and there were no options on right-clicking the same, except "properties" and "scan for hardware changes"

To fix the issue, I tried uninstalling the Intel (R) Wireless Bluetooth from the Bluetooth drop-down. Various sites, including Microsoft wrote that they would re-install themselves after either a restart or scanning for hardware changes. But now, the Bluetooth option seems to have completely disappeared from the Device Manager and I have no idea how to proceed with getting it back on my laptop.

Attached below are what I currently see on the Device manager (Hidden icons visible) and Bluetooth settings

Hoping you could suggest a solution for the problem

Thank you

    Good Day Vaanessa11,

My name is Carlo, I'm an Independent Advisor and community member like you.

I am also using Windows 10 pc. Let us work together to sort this out.

-What is the manufacturer and model of your laptop?

Here are the steps you can try.

    Run the Bluetooth troubleshooter

    -Press Windows key + X

    -Go to Settings

    -Click Update and Security

    -Click Troubleshoot then “additional troubleshooter

-Look for Bluetooth click it and run the troubleshooter.

Check if you can now see the Bluetooth

If issue persist, you can perform System Restore

-This process will take your computer settings back to an earlier point in time where computer is working fine. If there's any changes made on your computer that removes the service, system restore should be able to fix the issue for you. To perform system restore please follow the steps below:

    1. Open the run box by pressing the Windows key + R and type rstrui.exe
    2. Once system restore windows open, normally it will suggest a restore point (sometimes it doesn't) if it does, select the 2nd option and hit next
    3. Select your desired restore point date and time and hit next and finish. Choose a restore point date before the issue occurs.

Windows will going to restart your computer to initiate system restore. System restore might take several minutes to complete depending on the current speed of your computer and the changes it will made. Applications and updates that was installed on the computer prior to the date selected will be removed. It is important that when system restore starts, process must not be interrupted.

You can also go directly to the manufacturers website and download the Bluetooth driver for your device.

I hope the information above helps. Please let me know how it goes.

Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.

    With Warm Regards,

    Carlo T.
