Bootable USB stick

I downloaded from the official website the ISO of Windows 10, the one released on 10th of October 2020. At the moment I'm using Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS, and I want to go back to windows OS. As probably many know, while creating the bootable USB stick with windows ISO, I encounter 2 issues:

  1. if I choose a FAT32 partition for my usb, there are a couple of large size files, specifically with this format files of size larger than 4 Gb cannot be copied and pasted on the usb. Then, of course when I restart the system and try to boot windows from the usb, there is a message saying some files are missing;
  2. if I choose instead an exFAT partition for my usb, there are no such problems as every file is copied and pasted correctly, but when I restart my PC, the system does not see any bootable usb stick but only ubuntu.

What should I do? Thank you in advance

    Hi nicolòraffuzzi

    I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this . . .

    What process are you using to create the bootable USB, are you doing that from inside Ubuntu using WoeUSB or some other utility, or do you have access to another Windows PC to create the bootable USB using the media Creation Tool?

    Have you tried to format the USBB to NTFS, and does your PC have Legacy BIOS or UEFI

    If your PC is UEFI, then in BIOS, switch to UEFI, disable Secure / Safe Boot, disable CSM, if there is a setting to enable USB Boot, enable that, then set that USB as the primary boot device, save those settings and restart your PC
