HEVC Codec Problem

Hello,

I purchased the $.99 HEVC Codec from the Microsoft Store on my Windows 10 computer. After purchasing it told me to sign in with a valid device and the download button was grayed out. I purchased it because I was hoping to resolve audio not playing in my Windows & TV app on my computer. The sound stopped working a few months ago. Please help.

    Audio issues would not be resolved by purchasing an extension.

    Type winver in the search and press enter.

    What is the Build and version number reported in the Window?

    Also, what are the PC make/model and specs?

    Thanks. 1903 went out of service a couple of days ago which is likely why you cannot install that. If after updating 20H2 the Audio doesn't work, let us know.

    Try updating to version 20H2 using the Media Creation tool and if it fails let us know. Please download the Media Creation Tool and select "Upgrade this PC now".

    The fastest way to get the upgrade is through the Media creation tool or ISO file.

    Please download Media Creation Tool from the link below and select Upgrade this PC at the first screen.
