Dear tushar_gamer,even in the Home Edition version it is possible to disable Windows Update according to the procedure above.
You can disable Windows Update via regedit as well:
In the Windows 10 search bar, type regedit. If Windows asks for permission to make changes, click Yes. Registry Editor opens. On it, on the right side, go to HEY_LOCAL_MACHINE » SOFTWARE » Policies » Microsoft » Windows.
Right-click on the right side of the editor, choose New and Key. Name this key WindowsUpdate (so, all together). Now click on it with the right mouse button again, go to New » DWORD Value (32-bit). Name this value NoAutoUpdate. Finally, double click on it and enter the value 1.
This procedure should leave Windows Update disabled.
Note: The slightest carelessness can damage the operating system. Again, follow the step by step at your own risk.
As for the drivers, you can manually uninstall them through the Control Panel.
You can also try to restore the pc to a date prior to the update:
- Press the "Windows + R" keys now type RSTRUI and click "OK".
- Click on "Show more restore points" so that more options for dates to restore appear and then choose a point with a date prior to this problem;
- Proceed on the screens until the restoration is started and completed.
Note: System Restore will leave the computer as it was on the date you choose, that is, if a program was installed after the chosen date, the program will not appear installed after the restoration, and so on. Personal files and data are not lost, such as documents, music, videos, photos, etc.
I hope I helped, even more!
