Create shortcut

Dell Inspiron 15 3505 laptop with WIndows 10 (Build 19042.685)

Today I have added Foobar2000, via Microsoft Store, to the laptop.

I am having difficulty finding how to create a shortcut on for Foobar2000. I cannot find the exe either; I would use this to create a shortcut if found. Similar software e.g. DBPowerAmp has its exe in:-

C:\Program Files\dBpoweramp\dBConfig.exe

But neither Program Files nor Program Files(x86) contain foobar2000.exe; I also loaded another app earlier today and hit the same problem.

Has Microsoft changed locations of exe files?

Any advice appreciated

    Hi Alan

I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this . . .

All apps downloaded form the Store are contained in a highly protected folder C:\Program Files\WindowsApps and that folder is not accessible

If you want to create a Desktop shortcut for any app on your PC, locate the App on the alphabetical list on your Start Menu, then drag that out onto your Desktop

Apps from the Store are different to traditional programs. You should be able to see the app in All Apps and Programs in Start and you can pin to Start or Taskbar.

Where did you want the shortcut?
