Empty folder consuming 150gb

I have an ASUS laptop with 450gb of C drive Windows 10. It was showing 220gb used. Although i have a lot of softwares in my laptop i thought of deleting the program files of the ones which i dont use.

When i analysed the storage distribution i found out that the space consumed by program files and windows is not that much.

But there was one folder under programdata - Asus - VirtualDrive which was using 150gb of the space. When i opened it the folder was empty.

What should i do with that folder now ?

I want to clear up some space for new softwares but i dont know whether it would be safe to delete that folder.

Can anyone please help me with this issue.

Yes, I see it, well, if you want to delete a partition and it is empty, see the recommendations for a similar case:

    Hi Fred, Thanks for replying.

I did as you instructed, but even then the folder is empty. There are no hidden files.

Regarding the backup, I hadn't taken any.  The closest thing to this that I have done is partitioned my SSD into 3 parts namely OS C, Drive D, and Drive G.

I just looked into the properties of my C drive and in the hardware section, there is one Microsoft virtual disk present.

I'll attach a snip of the properties panel for reference.

    Hello Tanny.P

Thanks for reaching out! My name is Fred I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you.

Did you remember if you configure a backup or create a virtual machine?

Try to see if there are hidden files in the folder, follow the steps below to make these files visible:

Open File Explorer from the taskbar.

Select View > Options > Change folder and search options.

Select the View tab and, in Advanced settings, select Show hidden files, folders, and drives and OK.

    Best Regards,

    Fred

To illustrate your problem, please open the Disk Manager (diskmgmt.msc), then use snippingtool.exe to take a snapshot of the Disk Manager frame. Save the snapshot to your desktop, then attach it to your reply.
