so i just recently downloaded windows 10 onto my mac because mac os is trash, and there's this watermark that labels, "Activate Windows Go to Settings to activate Windows." and to get rid of it i need a product key, and im using a macbook air. But the thing is i dont have a product key, i tried using the product key from my old hp laptop and it didn't work, and apparently i need to buy a product key, but i don't think i should buy one and I need to do my research first. I'm not happy with my experience so far :/

You can buy directly from the activation screen, or from most electrical retailers. I can’t advise you on prices or where to purchase as this varies greatly between regions.

Hi, I'm Elise, an independent advisor and I'd be happy to help with your issue.

You can only transfer the product key from another device if you have the full retail version, if the license came pre-installed on your old laptop then this won’t be the case.

Otherwise you would have to purchase a new license to use on your Mac.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance.

    Kind Regards,

    Elise
