Looks like no help on this issue. I am having the same problem. Multiple headsets, drivers updated, even have it happening on 2 different computers. No solutions I have found on the internet have helped.
Bluetooth adapter audio issues
I was previously on Windows 8.1 I used a bluetooth dongle adapter with MPow12H headphones. This worked without issue - as long as hands-free-telephony was unchecked.
I updated to Windows 10. Now the audio is choppy, stutters. I have tried unchecking hands-free, tried removing both adapter and headphones completely and restarting, readding. I have tried updating the drivers. There are no interfering devices near. It worked without issue prior to the update.

2021-01-07T22:13:41+00:00 I was using a:
Kinivo BTD-400 Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy USB adapter - For Windows 10/8.1/8 / 7 / Vista
I went out and bought another to try a different adapter. I also now tried:
ASUS USB-BT400 USB Adapter w/ Bluetooth Dongle Receiver, Laptop & PC Support, Windows 10 Plug and Play /8/7/XP
Both have same problem.
I have updated my audio drivers. I have updated the bluetooth adapter drivers. I have unchecked hands-free telephony. I have tried it with all other devices disabled. I have tried multiple different bluetooth headsets to ensure the headset wasn't the problem. The sound remains the same, constant stutter every second making it unusable. The bluetooth adapter and headsets worked perfectly prior to updating from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. Everything is the same except the version of Windows.

2021-01-04T18:10:18+00:00 The device is Kinivo BTD-400 Bluetooth 4.0. I went now and downloaded the driver from the manufacturer website.
I set bluetooth service to automatic, tried older driver. Nothing has worked.

Kind regards,
