Got BSOD on virtualization enabled

Hello!

I've got:

-HP Pavilion - 15-ec1026ur,

-Windows 10 pro installed from scratch,

-Newest bios update. (F.11)

-Enabled Virtualization in bios.

I do:

Start > Turn Widnows features on or of > Hyper-V Hypervisor mark placed.

Then windows requires restart to install new features, after restart I got SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NO_HANDLED bsod screen. It disappears if I do disable virtualization in bios or unmark Hyper-V Hypervisor.

What can I do about it?

I can't use software like docker because of this.

Thanks!

Hi again, I found out few new details,

    First:

    here is my Minidump https://1drv.ms/u/s!AtNz1xl8i5ePgnAI6m8HRoaIxnbe?e=PiFXqY

I managed to create it by disabling one of my video adapters. Not sure why it worked, but it worked anyway.

    Second:

I did a simple analysis of minidump (as much as I can), and found that rtwlane.sys file is somehow connected to the problem.

Google said that rtwlane.sys is one of files from network adapter driver.

    This one:

Then I tried to turn this network adapter off,  rebooted the system, and BSOD is gone. Everything is fine,

Except, of course, my internet connection is not working with the adapter disabled.

Then ofc I tried to rollback/update the adapter driver, but with no luck.

Hi, and thanks for your reply!

I tried to locate the Minidump file in the Windows directory, but it wasn't there.

So I checked windows settings as forums suggests, set the following settings:

    https://i.ibb.co/Vjbbb5d/Startup-And-Recovery.jpg

I got enabled UAC and have a dump file in the same directory as my system. And I have enough space.

Next I went to enable virtualization and restarted my computer,

    I had a BSOD again, windows tried to collect some info, but restarted immediately (0% progress of collection);

The dump file didn't get created.

I checked windows event viewer, and I've found 4 repeating error events:

    https://i.ibb.co/5hqBNYJ/image.png

    https://i.ibb.co/BsFny8z/image.png

Those events repeat every time I'm getting blue screen.

I'm not sure how else can I collect additional info.

I've got latest bios version installed.

    Thanks a lot.

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you receive a Blue Screen error after enabling Hyper-V. I’ll certainly assist you with the issue.

I would suggest you to share the dump files so that we can analyze them and get to the root cause of the issue. To share the files Navigate to **C:\Windows\Minidump,**upload the files to OneDrive and share the OneDrive link.

As you have mentioned that disabling Virtualization/Hyper-V stops the Blue Screen error, you may want to check if there are any firmware updates available for the computer. However, we recommend that you check with your computer manufacturer regarding BIOS/firmware update.

NoteModifying BIOS/ complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the configuring of BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Modifications of the settings are at your own risk.

However, you may also want to post your query in Microsoft Q&Aforums, where you will find support professionals to assist you further.

    Regards,
