Cannot update windows.

So i have a Pavillion Gaming Laptop 15-dk0xxx.

I just ran into a problem with my pc where i cant update windows because i am not connected to the internet (atleast thats what i think the issue is).

But when i want to connect to my internet, no wifi connections appear. the connection list is just empty. when i head to windows update i have 4 missing updates;

-Windows 10, version 20H2

-Realtek Semiconductor Corp. - Net - 2024.0.10.220

-Acumulative windows 10 update for systema based in x64 (1909, KB4592449)

i tried using tips from other websites related to the KB4592449 (which is giving me error 0x800f0905) like disabling firewalls and windows services and try running troubleshoot but after that when i click on download updates the updates appear as 0% and then the downloading status dissapears to just ”Download Pending” and the download button dissapears aswell.

I’d like to comment that i’ve had connection issues in the past aswell, where i just lose internet connection for 1-5 minutes and then comes back despite of my other devices still having internet from the same source.

Any type of help would be appreciated asap!

    Hi Luca,

Good day! This is Jhakesong an Independent Advisor and I will be happy to assist you with this.

Before windows updates should start to work let's make sure you are connected to the internet first. You mentioned that your computer is not able to detect Wireless Networks. It's possible that Wi-Fi is currently OFF.

Does you computer have a key combination to toggle Wi-FI On/Off? Try to check your computers F1 to F12 keys for any symbol of Wi-Fi then press it along with the FN key.

You can also check here in windows:

    1. Go to search, Type Settings press enter, open Network and internet
    2. Click Wi-Fi, check if that is turned ON

If Wi-Fi is turned On from settings but no connections are found, let's check your wireless drivers.

    1. Go to search, type device manager press Enter
    2. From device manager, go to Network Adapters
    3. Look for anything that is listed Wireless, we are going to try to refresh it's drivers.
    4. Right click on the wireless driver listed, choose Uninstall
    5. If you have more than one, uninstall those too.
    6. Once done uninstalling, click Action from the top menu, click Scan for hardware changes.
    7. Go back to network adapter, see if the wireless drivers you have uninstalled are back on the list
    8. Now try your Wireless connection again and see if it detects any Wireless networks.

Let me know how it goes. Have a great day!

Hello, I-m Betty, an independent advisor, it is my pleasure to help you today.

    Try this method.

Try to reset your IP address. To do this, you must open the command interface window, following these instructions:

    Click start

    Click run

Type "CMD" and hit the Enter key

This should open a command prompt window

Now type "ipconfig / release" and hit Enter

Finally, type "ipconfig / renew" and hit Enter again

Now check if the connection already works

If this does not solve it, you can also try to clear the DNS configuration

To do so, open the command prompt window

Now type "ipconfig / flushdns" and hit Enter

Again, try to connect and see if you have stable internet.

    Regards.

    Attentive to your response.

hmm that didnt do anything, actually the console just printed an error saying ”cannot do any operation on bluetooth connection when the media is disconnected” (sorry my device is on spanish so it was not the most accurate translation) (original error text: No se puede realizar ninguna operacion en Conexion de red Bluetooth mientras los medios esten desconectados)
