How to keep track of organisation Teams meetings (who attended, how long they stayed for, etc.)

Hi,

We are a language school using a different platform for online lessons. One of our clients is starting online lessons and these need to be done via Teams. These courses are funded by an external organisation (like a trade union) and therefore this is what they are asking for:

  • the trade union needs access to an overview of all the meetings (lessons) - who joined which meeting and when, how long they stayed, etc. (this is to check the lessons are actually taking place)
  • they also need access to join any of the meeting of their choice at any time for a drop in inspection (again, to see that the lessons are actually taking place).

I know how to do all of this on the other platform but at a loss how to best do it (if it's doable) in Teams. Is there something like an "owner" account that could see all the meetings of everyone within the organisaiton? Or even better, an account that could plan the meetings for the other users?

Thank you!

    Hello,

Meeting organizers in Microsoft Teams have the possibility to download a meeting attendance report, I believe this is what you're looking for.
    You'll find more information here:

    Hi PremS-7964,

Agree with Leon, if you turn on download attendance list, the meeting organizer can download a meeting attendance report including the participants’ name, timestamp of joining or leaving.

You can run “Set-CsTeamsMeetingPolicy -AllowEngagementReport enabled” to enable a meeting organizer to download the meeting attendance report. It needs to wait up some time for this setting to take effect.

For more information about this command, please refer to this link:
    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/skype/set-csteamsmeetingpolicy?view=skype-ps.

Please note that only meeting organizer can download attendance reports. And you are able to download while the meeting is in progress and participants are still present.
