    Hello ToshaZabka

My name is Fred. I am an independent advisor, First of all, thanks for being part of the Microsoft Community, I will try to help you.

Where this happens on the browser when you save a picture?

Even if you have never edited your registry before, following this step-by-step is as about as sure-proof as you can get!

    >>Click on the start window in the bottom left of your screen.

    >>In the search bar, type regedit and hit enter. (May open the registry app or a small window)

    >>Click YES on the pop up window.

    Find the following route:

    "\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\MIME\Database\Content Type\image/jpeg"

    >>Locate the word EXTENSION and double click on it.

    >>A box will pop up and will say ".jfif" for the Value Data. Erase that and type ".jpg"

    >>Hit Okay and close the window by hitting X in the top right corner.

I hope this information is useful to you.

    Best Regards,

    Fred

There's a dropdown arrow in the "Save as type" box where you can choose the file format.

BTW: For all intents and purposes, .jpeg and .jfif are the same thing.
