Operating system not found error

Question

My pc was perfectly fine the day before but when ı opened it yesterday,”operating system not found” line came.

I checked the bios and in the boot section there is not anything that says harddisc cant be found.

So does that mean the problem is not with the harddisc ? What should I do ? 

The product is Sony Vaio VPCF23S1E

There should be a hard drive appearing in the boot order (unless the hard drive is malfunctioned) in BIOS settings and you need give it first priority.

Sorry, seems I misunderstood you. Is hard disk listed in boot order? Is it at the first position in list?

Boot from this media, select not Install but Repair, in advensed options run command prompt, run diskpart tool and show the results of two commands:

list disk

list volume.
