Hello, My touchpad started Doing weird things when i use it. When i use it, the cursor moves by itself and clicks by itself, But it only happens when i have my finger on it, the touchpad is clean, there are no viruses on my computer, DIMS scan found nothing corrupt, i have the newest update, i even updated my drivers, and turned touchpad off and on and it still does this, I have a mouse i mainly use but sometimes i use my touchpad and it just started doing this randomly. Happened once before but stopped (like 2 years ago) and it started again now. (If you didn't understand correctly: When my finger slides on the touchpad the cursor moves like crazy, also it clicks by itself even I'm not tapping on it.).  Windows 10 20H2 Newest update, released this month, Updated drivers 2 weeks ago. Full virus checks a week ago.  Windows 10 home 20H2 Newest update, 4GB, 64x, Laptop. Its a bit older but its working good but the touchpad gone crazy again. Thanks.

Hi Dominik,

I'm Paul, an Independent Advisor. I hope I can help you with your concern.

Please try the following.

  1. Rollback the touchpad driver in the Device Manager.

Open Device Manager >> Mouse and other pointing device >>Right-click your touchpad driver >> click Properties >> click Driver tab >> click Roll back driver.

  1. Uninstall the currently installed touchpad driver then download and install the available driver from the PC manufacturer's website.
  2. Use System Restore to restore your Windows to the point before the issue persists.

Open Control Panel > System and Security > System > System Protection > System Restore then follow screen instructions.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and keep me posted.

I think you encountered some sort of error/bug but I've done it a lot of times but it didn't lock me out of my computer.

I suggest that you try it and see if it resolves the issue.
