Please try the following.
- Rollback the touchpad driver in the Device Manager.
Open Device Manager >> Mouse and other pointing device >>Right-click your touchpad driver >> click Properties >> click Driver tab >> click Roll back driver.
- Uninstall the currently installed touchpad driver then download and install the available driver from the PC manufacturer's website.
- Use System Restore to restore your Windows to the point before the issue persists.
Open Control Panel > System and Security > System > System Protection > System Restore then follow screen instructions.
