    Hi Keara

I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this . . .

That vbs error generally is a left over registry entry from malware that has already been removed form your PC by Defender or your preferred 3rd party security suite

I cannot see the name of that VBS file, it is truncated in your post

Click the link below to download a small free utility that does not require installation

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/d...

When the file downloads, unzip it.

Depending on your system, run Autoruns or Autoruns64 as Administrator

In the search box in Autoruns, type vbs and press Enter

Please post the results of that search

I extracted the files and clicked autorun. I typed vbs in the search bar but nothing is showing. It said C:\Users\timan\AppData\Roaming\vlep7iyqt6rhfjdu2gosw348a10zbn5m.vbs

    Hi Keara

If you search for AppData in Autoruns does that produce any results?

    Hi Keara

If that e6q7.vbs is in the AppData folder, delete that file . . .

    Hi Keara

Do you mean that the Autoruns software is not showing the entry for:

    C:\Users\timan\AppData\Roaming\vlep7iyqt6rhfjdu2gosw348a10zbn5m.vbs

If so, search for vlep in Autoruns, does that produce any results?

If so, right click and delete the entry referring to that vbs file

If Autoruns does not find the Entry

Open File Explorer, then in the Address bar, paste this and press Enter:

    %appdata%

On the View Tab, temporarily turn on 'File Name Extensions'

In the resulting folder, right click and choose New - Text File

Right click and rename that file to this

(you must remove the .txt file extension and replace it with .vbs)

    vlep7iyqt6rhfjdu2gosw348a10zbn5m.vbs

That should stop that error appearing
