Nevermind. I figured it out. Apparently the Fn and control key swap was disabled.

I can't figure out why the function keys F7 thru F12 don't work. And there are several Fn commands that don't respond. Only Fn +4 will put the computer to sleep.

Does your keyboard have a key key to disable FN?
Was only one of the FN commands working with the switch off?
Observe if the problem recurs even with the key to turn the FN off!
