Windows XP usb boot failure

Hi!

I want to install XP on my Toshiba Satellite L355 (2007) which came with vista. I want to do it because that laptop is really usable, and I think I'll get most of it by doing this. However, when i try to boot XP from my media (usb in this case), it just loads vista. It literally skips XP booting and installation and it goes right into Vista.

Please answer! I'm new and don't really know much about computers

Thanks,

Milos

    1. You haven't given the complete model number.

When you have it look it up at this link to see if Toshiba supports and supplies XP drivers for your model number...

    1. Check to see if that model number also supports Booting from USB.

If it does you have to change the Boot Order to USB in the BIOS/Boot Order.
