I see, it could be some kind of corruption on the copy and paste, but missing only a full stop is too specific for corruption or something like that
copy and paste error
This is an odd one and doesn't fit into any forum:
A friend copied a link I sent her for members to click to view a newsletter on Google Drive. No typing was involved just straight copy and paste. It was a task that has been done many times in the past.
The link I sent was this, which worked fine, It was also the text members clicked on. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1D8MHt0tf1JeAE2T3IEYACKoTtMov4hn5/view?usp=sharing.But when members viewed her email and tried to use the link it failed and the reason was, somehow this had happened...https://drive.googlecom/file/d/1D8MHt0tf1JeAE2T3IEYACKoTtMov4hn5/view?usp=sharing The link had changed. Note there is a full stop missing between google and com - Hence it did not work.
I have never encountered this ever before and I can find no mention of it on the net. Any suggestions?

2021-06-23T20:48:50+00:00 Thanks again.
This was sent out using a mass newsletter mailing system and has been done many times before, but of course it could be human error, but the sender did absolutely specify it was all copy and paste.
I was curious as to whether anyone else had experienced it.
Cheers

Since you copied the original link and pasted it on the notepad with no problems, that's the only thing I can presume.

I discovered this by copying both the original link and the emailed out one and pasted them onto notepad, where I noticed they were slightly different lengths and hence spotted the error.
It was sent out on omail. It was only sent once to members.
Just a very strange glitch.

I'm Rodrigo, Independent Advisor and I will help you.
That's really odd, but did you test it and it happened again?
When you press WinKey + V, can you see the link on the clipboard?
