Win Spotlight Will Not Work

I just reimaged Win 10 PRO and before I did that I suddenly could not longer get Spotlight to work. I have already tried the following fixes to no avail:

settings.dat and roaming.lock individually, then click Rename and name them settings.dat.bak and roaming.lock.bak. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-hello/windows-spotlight-lock-screen-picture-wont-change/443cc26c-29f1-4481-80c9-6fb7130f6191

All of these other ones: https://www.minitool.com/news/fix-windows-spotlight-not-working.html

Why are none of there working even with a clean install of Win 10 with all updates?

That is something I am not going to do. As I stated a few times, I just did a complete reimage and ran troubleshooters and the OS is fine. The problem started before I did the reimage. I have been looking at the Win 10 forum and there have been others asking the same question the past several days so it is now a common issue. I am wondering if MS did an update.

A system restore will not fix the issue since the only restore point was yesterday morning when I completed the reimage. As far as I am concerned MS needs to do something to address the issue. It has never been a solid feature since it boots you out if you choose "Not a Fan" of an image twice in 24 hours.

Thanks for all your help but I am going to do nothing that could mess up a great reimage.

I have tried that several times now. Reregister, delete files and rename...... etc. They just list the same suggestions everyone else does. I may try and join their conversation to see if anyone can help.

Thanks again for the suggestion but it had no effect. A bug would be the best description but to have it before and after the reimage is weird.

Thanks for the suggestion but most of the fixes are the ones I had already tried. I went back through each one to no avail. I will wait 24 hours but I did that before as well. It is strange. Before I did the full reimage I would have to perform the delete images, change the registry items to .bak and it would fix the issue. The issue was caused by telling it 2 times in 24 hours I didn't like that image.

Before the reimage it simply stopped working. I did nothing at all. I would have thought that after a complete reimage (wipe the drive, settings and all) that it would work. Did MS do something to an update?
