I bough Minecraft from a 3rd party for Windows 10. They said it was "Global" and works in United Kingdom

The code doesn't redeem

The vendor says we tested the code and it's not region locked. They have asked me to contact Microsoft. I rang them - they said it's region locked.

But the vendor wants more proof?

I've followed the troubleshooting article. I've rung Accounts and Billing (and been passed around 2 other teams on the phone). All the same, it doesn't work and the license is believed out of region. The vendor is saying they need more information on an email before they will refund or resolve or even progress .
