Files Explorer does not recognize my USB3.0 memory stick but in Dev Mgr under Disk Drives it is clearly there. Also in Dev Mgr under other devices it is Unknown Device. When I remove the memory stick the msg clears.  Please advise on how to get file explorer to recognize the USB3.0 memory stick.

Also, under Disk Drives I checked that the driver for this memory stick was up-to-date.

Can you restart the computer in Safe Mode and see if the memory stick works without issue.

Hi JohannaBell-Hartl, I am auggy, an Independent Advisor.

In the Device Manager right-click the "Unknown Device" > Properties > Details, then choose "Hardware Ids" from the drop-down menu under "Property".

What is listed under "Value" ?
