Stange Format . . .

My computer is a Dell laptop.
Running Windows 10 Pro.

In my pictures folders.
I have many, jpg pictures.

For some reason,
this one picture, ends in .jfif

I was a singer, in a rock band.
That was, 40 years ago. Long hair days.
This picture. Is important, to me!

I can click, on. And see, the picture fine.
But when, I run a slideshow.
It gets passed over.

If it, was a jpg. It would work fine.
I've tried, re-saving it. No, luck.
Whatever, I try. It's still, a jfif?

That's why, I've come to the "Forum"
To get, some more help. Sorry, it's so big.

Thanks for reading . . . Jerry

What OS build are you on? Hit the Windows key, type winver, hit Enter.
    Or Windows key+r, winver, OK

Hi Jerry. I'm Greg, an Independent Advisor.

You can attach images in the reply box using the Attach Image button.

Here are ways to convert .jfif files to .jpg:

    https://www.wikihow.com/Convert-JFIF-to-JPG

    https://jfif-to-jpg.file-converter-online.com/

Save a copy of the picture first in case something goes wrong.

There's a known issue of .jpg files being saved at .jfif which has solution here:

Feel free to ask any questions. Based on the results you post back I may have other suggestions if necessary.

Go Settings, Apps, Default apps, Choose default apps by file type, scroll down to .jfif and set it to Photos.
