I get some pretty bad static on the two radios in my house, when my computer is turned on. Is it coming from the wirring in the house, or thru the air?

Can anything be done to stop it??

It will depend on the computer. F10, F2, F12, F1, or DEL are often used to enter BIOS. Some machines say Press x for setup, where x is the correct key.

Another option is to enter windows settings [Win+I]. Select 'Update & security', then select 'Recovery' and then select 'Restart'. Your computer will restart in recovery mode. Select 'Troubleshoot', then select 'Advanced options' and then 'UEFI Firmware Settings'

Check in your BIOS for a spread spectrum setting. If it is there, turn it on.

It can't fix the root cause but it often reduces the problem.

Hi, my name is Claudeir. I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you.

This is certainly a problem with grounding the house's power, I've had something like that, but it was with the headphones and microphone, and the only way I managed to solve the problem was by putting an iron next to the PC (punching the floor and I try to contact the ground) so I put a copper wire to touch the cabinet. I know, it's a little weird, but it worked.

In fact, every home should have better grounding in its outlets.

Feel free to leave your opinion, marking it as answered if the answer helped, or leaving more details so we can continue the service, this is very important to us.

    Sincerely,

    Claudeir
