Hey there!

I just have a simple question to ask, nothing too technical.

I was just wondering for the sake of knowledge and education,

what is the difference between, "Use default (On)" vs "On by default" in the exploit protection settings?

If you can explain, can you do so in layman's terms or with an analogy? Thanks again for your input! :D

Hi, my name is Claudeir, user and independent consultant, welcome to the community! It will be a pleasure to help!

Leaving Use default (enabled) the system uses defense mechanisms by default, using On by default, configure settings using Windows Security application on an individual device. Then export the configuration as an XML file so you can distribute it to other devices.

It is recommended to leave Use default (enabled) as it comes in the system.

If the answer helped in any way, please consider leaving your opinion, marking it as answered or leaving more details so that we can continue the service, this is very important to us.

Sincerely,

Claudeir
