Scan for hardware changes causes BSOD

Hello out there. This has been raised before and in other similar posts as well. Recently my computer updated the Logitech G Hub as I have a G29 wheel that I sue for iracing. Each time it installed I got the BSOD and thought must be this program but looking further and doping a bit of research I have found that it is my computer and specifically windows with the issue. The G hub during install does a scan for hardware changes apparently so I did my own and yes I get the BSOD every time I do a scan so it must be this. Ive tried numerous things to try and rectify this issue but nothing works. Even paid for restoro in the hope it fixed missing files etc, didnt work. Ive unplugged all my peripherals - that didnt work. I do have 5 hard drives connected via SATA cables of course, maybe those? I dont know.

How do I fix this because I am now worried that every program I have that does not will now not work.

If you able to assist and want to see dmp files then let me know and i'll work out how to share them with you from google drive.

I believe the Phison NVMe 1.2 storport miniports would have the nvme.sys as the driver.

What you could try is to roll back each of the Phison NVMe 1.2 storport miniports driver in the Device Manager which should reinstate the Microsoft driver.

Create a System Restore Point beforehand.

Then double-click each of the Phison NVMe 1.2 storport miniports > Driver > Roll back driver

After rolling back the drivers restart the computer.

Both minidump files show a CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED (ef) stop error:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardwa...

This error can some times be caused by storage drivers.

As you appear to have an older version of the Samsung NVMe driver (nvme.sys dated 2018) try updating to the latest version of the Samsung NVMe driver or uninstall the Samsung NVMe driver and use Windows built-in NVMe driver.

Please excuse my ignorance. I have a basic knowledge of getting around a computer.

Where would I do that and what does it relate to exactly? device manager? storage controllers there have 2 Phison NVMe 1.2 storport miniports?
