Locked out of authenticator app since deleted by mistake

Hi,

I accidentally deleted the Microsoft authenticator app and unfortunately did not have a backup. Now after re-installing the app, while trying to add the school account back, it's asking for verification code again. I'm unable to get the QR code also since the website security page login also requires verification code. Due to this, I'm completely locked out of my account. Can you please suggest a solution for this issue.

Regards, Wilson Pradeep

    Hi,

You can go to myaccount.microsoft.com and then to Security Info and delete your Authenticator App Sign in method and then add again. (You need to have registered your phone number as a sign in method)

If you are locked out from your account you may need to ask an administrator to reset your Sign in methods.

    Hope this helps.

    Cristian
