21H2 Bluetooth Headset Problem

I  have  updated to 21H2 latest build  tonight    In  an  effort  to  get  AAC  codec  and  fix  the  Bluetooth headset  problem. Now I got a different problem.

Whichever earphone I put  into  my  ear first, connects  to  the  PC first, and after a 3 to 5 second delay the other one connects, but I only get audio from the first one I put on. I clearly hear both of them getting connected  (they  do  a  ding  sound) but there is no   audio  coming from the second one.  If  I  reverse  the  earphone  order  the  same  thing  happens. If  I  put on  left  first, I  only  hear  from  left  and  vice  versa.

I  somehow  managed  to  get  audio  from  both  of  them  for  a  brief  moment  while  trying to  watch  YouTube  but  it  was  cut, like  milliseconds  of  audio  only. Then  it went  back  to  one  ear  only.

And mic quality is even worse than before. We mostly hear a tapping sound.

(Earphones  work  perfectly on  my  android  devices. All  of  my  drivers  are  updated.)

Microsoft please help.

    There really may be models with problems related to Windows 10, but Windows itself is not the ''culprit'' certainly the bluetooth driver is the problem, we need to update from the manufacturer's website, which model and mara of your laptop?

    Graciously,

    Before 21H2 there were two separate options for all Bluetooth headsets. Regardless of the brand or model. (Apple, Sony, Mi, all)You can go to this link for more detail. : Airpods Pro: very bad quality in Headset mode on Windows 10 - Microsoft Community

    There are also many posts like this here and on Reddit. I read someone saying they can use their airpods as intended after updating to 21H2 in the link above, that's why I updated.

    Got it, has it previously worked on your PC or another PC? Have you tested it on another Windows 10 PC?

    What is the model and brand of your bluetooth headset?

    You need to go to the manufacturer's website to update the drivers, let me know the model so I can help you.

    I await your answers.

    Graciously,

    Claudeir

    None  of   those  helped. Problem  still  persists. And  I  won't roll  windows back  because before  this   update Bluetooth headsets  weren't even  working as  intended. I  only  updated thinking I  can  use  them  but  it  doesn't seem  like  an  option.

    Hi, my name is Claudeir, user and independent consultant, welcome to the community! It will be a pleasure to help!

    -I understand you, and I know how frustrating it can be when something doesn't work the way it should:

    -Windows+i, update and security, troubleshooting, additional troubleshooting, bluetooth, run fix.

    See if the problem persists.

    -Windows+X, Device Manager, under Sound Drivers, right click on all drivers, Uninstall, under Audio Inputs and Outputs, right click and Uninstall on all drivers. In bluetooth, right click and Uninstall.

    Restart the laptop and new drivers will be installed.

    See if the problem persists.

    -Clean startup:

    Clean boot is for you to determine if a background program is interfering with your system or to optimize your system load.

    For clean boot follow the steps below:

    On the Desktop, press the Windows + R keys simultaneously to open Run;

    In the Run Menu type msconfig command and click OK to open System Configuration;

    On the Services tab, check Hide All Microsoft Services and Click Disable All;

    Click Apply and OK;

    Restart the computer.

    NOTE:This procedure disables all third-party services and programs. You can later, if the problem is solved in this way, enable the programs and services that will start with Windows, selectively, instead of keeping them all disabled. If the problem returns after activating the startup of a specific service or program, the problem is exactly in the startup of this software and it is recommended to remove it.

    See if the problem persists.

    -If nothing solves the problem and you are sure that the system update will bring this problem, let's go back to the previous version and see if the problem is solved:

    Windows+i, update and security, recovery, roll back Windows 10 to the previous version.

    If the answer helped in any way, please consider leaving your opinion, marking it as answered or leaving more details so that we can continue the service, this is very important to us.

    Sincerely,

    Claudeir
