WindowsPCをサーバとして利用することを考えています

現在WindowsPCをサーバとして利用することを考えています。

その場合、サーバOS（WindowsServer2019）は必須構成となるのでしょうか。

Windows Server is best used for the Server OS since multi-connections are allowed and you can define specific server roles. Windows for the desktop is a more of a single use product, it can be used to host files and be a print server, but it has limited on connections.
