Hi Soriende, yes it would be best to contact them as this seldom/rarely happens on a new PC and since it is still under warranty then it will be best to reach out to them first.
Error code: 0xC004C003
Hi everyone,
Today I set up my new gaming computer from iBuyPower, Slate MR.
It's meant to come with Windows 10 Home, Version 20H2, OS Build 19042.1023, Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.2020.0
I keep running into this problem however.
Under the Activation page in Settings, there is a Product ID and a Product Key, but underneath in red it states: "We can't activate Windows on this device because you don't have a valid digital license or product key. If you think you do have a valid license or key, select Troubleshoot below. Error code: 0xC004C003"
I attempt to troubleshoot but after it completes it says "We weren't able to activate Windows on this device."
Can anyone please give me any advice on how to proceed? Thanks!

Unfortunately I tried both of your methods and still have the same error, even after restarting.
I take it you think I should contact the retailer next. The computer is supposed to be brand new. I bought it from BestBuy, but I'll contact the manufacturer and see if I can get an answer from them.

2021-06-06T04:38:32+00:00 Good day Soriende! I am Independent Advisor Paul R. and I am glad to be able to provide assistance to you today. I understand that you are having an issue with regards to activating Windows 10 Home on your newly built PC.
Just to check, was this a preinstalled copy of Windows on your PC?
In reference with the link below for the error that you are getting is that "If you bought a device from a reseller of Windows 10 and expected the key to be valid, contact the reseller. If your device was purchased with Windows 10 preinstalled and you received this activation error upon turning it on for the first time, contact your device manufacturer. If the device is new and has never been activated, contact your device manufacturer."

You may check and try the methods below and see how it goes.
Method 1:
- Press Windows key + X and click on Run
- Type in services.msc and press Enter or hit OK and this open up the Services window
- Look for Software Protection and double click on it, and try to Stop and Start the service or Start it whichever is applicable
- After doing the above check and test the status again
Method 2:
- Type in cmd from the search bar on the taskbar
- Right click on the command prompt from the search result and click on Run as administator
- Copy/paste the command below and execute then one by one
dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth
dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup
sfc /scannow
- After doing the above check and test the status again
