Mouse hitching/lagging behind.

The mouse cursor moves normally and goes where I want, but every second or so it hitches for about 300ms then moves back to where it should be. I've restarted the drivers, uninstalled them, checked for new drivers, updated windows, reset windows, replugged the mouse, changed the polling rate. But so far nothing has worked.

I'm using the Glorious model D.

    Hey,

Thanks for reaching out, but I'm unable to turn off fast startup as the option doesn't show up even with me clicking the "Change settings that are currently unavailable" **** button. I will be able to try out a different mouse soon and will follow up if it fixes my problem.

    Hi AnnoyedLoki7594

How are you? I hope you are doing good.

Welcome to Microsoft Community. I am Juliet, an independent advisor. It's my pleasure to help you today. I know how frustrating this may be for you but I'll do my very best to help you :)

another thing we could try is to disable fast startup:

    1. Press the Windows Key + R to bring up the Run dialog
    2. type powercfg.cpl and hit Enter.
    3. The Power Options window should appear. Click "Choose what the power buttons do" from the column on the left.
    4. Scroll down to "Shutdown settings" and uncheck the box for "Turn on fast startup".

Note: If these options are greyed out then you may need to click "Change settings that are currently unavailable".

    1. Click the "Save changes" button to apply the changes.

I hope it helps! Let me know the results.

Please Let me know if you have more questions or the above method didn't work for you, I'll be more than happy to assist you further :)
