Hi everyone! I have windows 10 installed on my laptop and it is running smoothly without any issues. Only one problem which I am having is that whenever I click the sound icon on the taskbar to increase or decrease the volume, my speaker is named as '2- High Definition Audio Device' and the same is also mentioned in 'Playback Devices' as shown in the image below. I am not having any problem with the audio of my laptop just that '2' written before 'High Definition Audio Device' bothers me. Is there any way to remove that '2'?

    Hello RPS,

I am Jaspreet Singh an independent advisor.

Sadly no you can rename the device (speakers to something else) but you cannot rename the device type (high definition audio device) This is automatically numbered according to the audio devices in your system.
