CD game from windows xp

Question

Hello! After some years i had the desire to play again Age of Mythology.( I used to run it in Windows XP with cd.) So i download it all went fine i restarted my pc but then when i run it and pressed start it just closes and does nothing ( the launcher opens just fine)... i figured that windows 10 cant support this game. Is there anyway to run it download something etc or do i have to buy the game again.Thanks for the help!

Hi.Thanks for the help i learned something today.

Didnt helped me with this game but while i was trying to run it ...it gave me the option to sent a feedback ( using feedback hub)

I explained to them and sended them a screenrecord. If they cant help me none can.

I dont expect much to happen since its a 20 years old game but i really want this to work i believe in miracles! :)

The only other thing I can think of is to try to run the game in Compatibility mode. Right click the game icon and select properties, select the compatibility tab and select to run in a previous windows mode or use Run as administrator.

Try the game again.
