I am trying to copy about 500gb. The files are from very small to mega video files. I have tried drag and drop, using free file sync. The destination has been both internal SATA drive and a NAS on a wired network. It will start off fine, but after a short time the speed will drop to 0 or under 10 kb/s.
This is really frustrating!!!

I'm sorry to hear about this problem.
I had some similar problems and I would like to recommend a tool that helped me a lot with this problem.
I advise you to try the copy using the FreeFileSync tool.
It is a simple and very useful tool for these high volume cases.
Please access the link below the tool, download it and try to copy through it, if in doubt, you will have more information on the site itself.
I await news.
