hi,

Why is it every night, when I go to open the prefetch folder, it will not open? Have to set to full control every night. The steps are in the screenshot. In the daytimes, no issues.

    Hi PaulPChou,

There must be something running on your PC at night that is preventing you from accessing that folder at night, open Task Scheduler and check if there are task(s) set to run at night that may be blocking access.

    Hi PaulPChou

That is very strange, why would it be different form day to night, try setting Everyone as the owner and see if that resolves the problem

Clean it out on a regular basis. It opens, but not at night

    Hi PaulPChou,

I am Dave, an Independent Advisor, I will help you with this.

If instead of adding Everyone to the users that can access that folder, if you click Advanced and set the owner to Everyone, does that then allow you to access the Prefetch folder all the tie?

May I ask, why are you accessing the Prefetch folder, are you clearing that out on a regular basis?
