Graphical corruption on some GUI Elements (Solved)

Hi,

I recently upgraded the internals of my machine, everything except the video card which is an Nvidia 1080 Ti. I've never had problems with the video card before, but it was the first thing I suspected might be the problem. I cloned my harddrive to a new larger drive and simply booted the machine, with Windows adjusting automatically to the new mb, cpu, ram and hdds.

The issue now is that I see weird graphical corruption or glitching, but only in some applications and only on some gui elements. The applications it occurs in are consistent (I.e. I can restart them and the corruption happens in the same locations).

I've recorded a video using screen capture software here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/h2ds0c0ya2aeuw0/Glitching1.mp4?dl=0

And here's another one from a different application window: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ykidoe9gemyn224/Glitching2.mp4?dl=0

And here's Affinity Designer's menu glitching: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8l5td59gkpiy5u7/Glitching3.mp4?dl=0

I don't think this is directly the video driver (I'm using latest nvidia 471.11) as it doesn't appear to be the whole screen. Just certain elements.

Sometimes it's a text element, which means lines of text or words of text disappear.

I've run tests on the ram and gpu and all tests turn up 100% healthy, so it seems like maybe this is a software issue?

Although if it is, it's almost like it's windows gdi or something. In fact, it almost looks like apps that use some form of Windows WPF framework?

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot or fix this one? (I'm a developer, so can do advanced actions if required)

After days of dealing with this issue, I just stumbled across: https://developercommunity.visualstudio.com/t/problem-with-wpf-graphical-glitches/1267381

    Where the user said:

Solution for all ASUS board owners: Uninstall the Sonic Radar app. It uses an old version of the Nahimic library which causes this problem.

I'd uninstalled the app several days ago, but it appears the Nahimic library was still running. I terminated the windows service, but the issue remained. I then ended task on all the remaining nahimic processes and finally the issue is resolved!

I've left this question and now answer up for anyone in the future to see.
