The troubleshoot for the error 0xC1900101 - 0x40017 is to clean boot into Windows and then attempt the upgrade.

1-Click on Start, in the search box on the taskbar, type msconfig and select System Configuration from the results.

2-On the Services tab of System Configuration, select Hide all Microsoft services, and then select Disable all.

3-On the Startup tab of System Configuration, select Open Task Manager.

4-Under Startup in Task Manager, for each startup item, select the item and then select Disable.

    5-Close Task Manager.

6-Reboot and try to run the Media Creation Tool again.

The SetupDiagResult.log indicates a problem with some drivers, you can use the MyAsus to update all drivers.

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/myasus/9n7r5s...

Then disconnect all peripherals connected and try to update using the Media Creation Tool.

    1-Download the media creation tool.

2-Run the tool and select 'Upgrade this pc now'

3-Select the option 'Keep all my files and apps'

    4-Then click to update.

If you receive the error message again, attach the files Setuperr.log and Setupact.log that you can find the folder C:\Windows\Panther

Hi, I'm Robinson, and I’m happy to help you today.

I know how frustrating this may be for you but I'll do my very best to help you.

You can use the SetupDiag to check where is the problem with the update.

    1-Download SetupDiag.

    https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=870142

2-If your web browser asks what to do with the file, choose Save. By default, the file will be saved to your Downloads folder. You can also save it to a different location if desired by using Save As.

3-When SetupDiag has finished downloading, open the folder where you downloaded the file. By default, this is your Downloads folder, which is displayed in File Explorer under Quick access in the left navigation pane.

4-Double-click the SetupDiag file to run it. Click Yes if you are asked to approve running the program.

5-A command window will open while SetupDiag diagnoses your computer. Wait for this to finish.

6-When SetupDiag finishes, two files will be created in the same folder where you double-clicked SetupDiag. One is a configuration file, the other is a log file.

    7-Attach the file SetupDiagResults.log.
