Hi Anyone,

I have a SSD with Bitlocker protected. However, my NB was out of battery while unlock my BitLocker SSD. Afterward, I cannot unlock the SSD anymore and even not able to format this SSD. Unfortunately, I also lost my recovery key.

Now I use 3'rd party app to unlock the SSD, and I got this error message:

BitLocker unlock failed

ERROR_VOLUME_STATE_NOT_SAFE

ErrorCode:"-14"

Have anyone to know how to format this disk? I try to use "EaseUS Partition Master" and "AOMEI partition Assistant" to wipe out whole disk but still not able to format this SSD. The bitlocker still LOCK this SSD.

    Hi zrtugm23

Okay, I hope that works for you, please let me know if that succeeds

There are two partitions on that drive, that is why I suggested the clean command to wipe the entire drive, that would have merged the two space on the drive.

    Hi zrtugm23

    Close Disk Management.

Click your Start Button, then just type cmd

Right click Command Prompt and choose 'Run as Administrator'

Run this command and hit Enter:

    diskpart

Run this command and hit Enter:

    list disk

(Make note of the disk number you want to wipe and enter it into the next command - replace X)

Run this command and hit Enter:

    select disk X

Run this command and hit Enter:

    clean

Then close Command Prompt and open Disk Management again, please provide a screenshot of that Disk Management window

    Hi zrtugm23

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Open Disk Management (accessible by right clicking your Start Button)

Resize the bottom pane so that drive is visible in the bottom pane

Please provide a screenshot of that Disk Management window, and indicate which drive you want to wipe.
