Dpc watchdog error

Hey Microsoft community,

I get a dpc watchdog error every other boot of my computer, usually the next boot after the blue screen is error free and I can use my computer like normal, I have 5 minidump files from the past 4 days if those would help at all, and I have tried all manner of fixes to attempt and remedy included but not limited to the following. The computer headphone jack, both front and rear have also stopped working for speakers and headset functionality, and now devices must be plugged into a monitor aux port.

trying different hardware, ie swapping mice and keyboards speakers etc

changing sata ahci controller

chkdsk command

scannow and repair

reverting and trying different updates of nvidia geforce graphics drivers

and a couple other things I cannot remember off the top of my head

What can I do to try and get this recurring problem to stop? and hopefully reclaim normal aux port functionality

Evan

The memory.dmp tagged the NVIDIA graphics driver as the issue:

    IMAGE_NAME: nvlddmkm.sys

It seems quite a few T5-28IMB05 users are having this issue with newer versions of the NVIDIA graphics driver if you do a search for 28IMB05 on the Lenovo forums.

What I might suggest is to uninstall the presently installed NVIDIA graphics driver and install the one available from Lenovo for the system (462.31):

    https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/ca/en/products/desktops-and-all-in-ones/legion-series/legion-t5-28imb05/downloads/ds550299-nvidia-graphic-driver-for-windows-10-64-bit-version-1909-legion-t5-28imb05-desktop

That seemed to work for other users with the same issue.

According to some users posting on the Lenovo forum Lenovo is aware of the issue and is working on a fix.

    Hey auggy,

The auxiliary jacks are now working again, and time will tell whether the error occurs, thanks again for your expertise in this area, and I will mark this matter as solved after a few boots over the next few days to verify the error is gone.

    Regards

    Evan

The errors seem to revolve around the acpi.sys such as:

    ACPI!ACPIInterruptEventCompletion+2b

What I might suggest is to consider updating the BIOS to the latest version.

Also, temporarily uninstall any Razer software that is installed as that seemed to be the issue in the following topic with a similar error:

    Hi,

Can you zip up the minidump files in the C:\Windows\Minidump folder and make available (provide link) via a public folder on OneDrive or similar site.

Here's a link on using OneDrive:

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/onedrive/sha...

If you have problems zipping the minidump files copy the minidump files to another location such as a folder on the Desktop.

Also, you do not necessarily have to zip up the minidump files, you can upload them one at a time.
