Error Code 0xca00a009 when trying to load (KB5007215) update

Question

Updated to Windows 11 some few days ago...no problems...smooth as clockwork.

Since then, the odd update ...Security, Malware tool etc downloaded ...no problem.

However, the Cumulative Update (KB5007215) will not download...Have tried it 5 times...no go...keeps saying 'Retry'

Would appreciate some help to resolve this problem. Please bear in mind that I am quite geriatric and so nothing too complicated or over technical

please.

ps. I really like Windows 11 and am enjoying exploring the new layouts and features.

that file is safe, download from Microsoft server site, i too got X mark , dot worry, click on 3 dots, click keep, click on keep anyway.

or else visit the below site

Microsoft Update Catalog

and click download button.

Great....did that and lo and behold it downloaded the Cumulative Update in Question.

It now shows in my Update History as Downloaded Successfully.

Many thanks for your patience, you have made one really old Computer fanatic (but no expert) very happy.

One last point...It still shows in Windows Update as update failed...try again...will this just go away or can it be removed. The time shown I think is that when I made a last try before using your cure.

Stop Press...just checked and the Failed Message has gone...Problem solved...am very grateful for...for your excellent advice.

Have tried this and you have 4 choices...tried the top one' Cumulative update KB5007215 64bit download from direct link'

and it just comes up with a solid large Red dot with an x in it.

Fails to download

any advice?
