Went to log into my account, and it has Pick an account! I only have ONE account. There is an odd extra account that is not mine. It is NOT attached to my Outlook account. How do I delete this account from my Microsoft?

    Hi Jbekkaz,

Thank you for the update. The behavior is indeed strange. I would assume you are using Edge as your browser to login your Microsoft account.

Kindly chek if it is present in the saved user names and passwords:

    In Edge

    1. Launch Edge
    2. Click the 3 dots, go to Settings
    3. Select Profiles
    4. Go to Passwords, check the username if present under Saved Passwords.
    5. If it is not, reset Edge's settings and relaunch the Browser.
    6. Log back in to account.microsoft.com
    7. Check if that username appears.

Let me know how it goes.

None of that showed this weird log in that shows. This is the only place I see it and it's when I go to log in from:

    https://account.microsoft.com/account?lang=en-us

and it comes up as: (I erased my user name)

Where this "my user name" with %40yahoo.com is coming from is a mystery. Another odd thing: after I log into my account using the real login it's like the fake one disappears. It was gone the rest of the day yesterday (I checked on and off by logging out and back in and it only brought up original login account). Yet this morning it was back to both accounts . Nothing happens when fake (?) account is clicked to log in. Absolutely weird and frustrating as hell to try to figure out what and where it is...

    Hi Jbekkaz,

Thank you for the clarification. To delete that extra account that appears from your sign in screen when you log in to your computer, follow the steps with illustration shown in this article:

No; the account was not and is not listed under my 'account info'. I do not stay logged in to my MS account. I went to log in and the screen that came up to log in has 2 accounts. My account and a bogus account that was made by me. I want to delete this log in/account. The only place I have seen it is in this log in; I find it no where else in my true account.

    Hi Jbekkaz,

Good day! This is Jhakesong and I will be happy to assist you with this.

I am sorry to hear about the inconvenience. This extra account that you mentioned was listed under your "Your Info" section when you login to account.microsoft.com?

Was it an account alias? See if you can delete it from here:

    1. Login to account.microsoft.com
    2. Click Your Info
    3. Under Account Info, Email address, click Edit account Info
    4. Under account alias, select the additional account, click Remove.

Let me know how it goes. Have a great day!
