How do I set up windows credentials

Question

When I try to access another computer on the network I need to enter my credentials. I cant find anywhere to set them up.

Hello oldim82, welcome to the Microsoft community, I'll be happy to help you today;

In this case I believe the easiest solution is to disable password-protected sharing;

To do this, press Windows key + I and access Network and Internet;

Click Network and Sharing Center;

In the left menu, click Change advanced sharing settings;

In the profiles: Private and Guest or public, activate the options: "Activate network discovery and Activate file and printer sharing;

In All networks, enable the options: Enable sharing so anyone with network access can read and write files and Disable password-protected sharing

Note: Do this on all computers that want to share files over the network;
