System Information - Device Encryption Question
Could someone let me know why I am getting the following message in System Information please?
Device Encryption Support: Reasons for failed automatic device encryption: Hardware Security Test Interface failed and the device is not Modern Standby, Un-allowed DMA-capable bus/device(s) detected
I am using Windows 11 Pro on a Ryzen 3900x system. I have bitlocker turned on and memory Integrity is enabled. Other security features are as per Windows 11 requirements.
Does this message mean I am missing security features and my PC isn’t as secure as it could/ should be?
Any clarity would be appreciated.

2021-10-08T18:05:41+00:00 I was viewing it as an admin. Thanks very much.
If viewed without admin privileges, it says 'Elevation required to view'. Does this mean it is impossible to see the Device Encryption Support status?
Also, Windows 11 Home/ Pro comparison shows that Windows 11Pro offers Bit Locker in addition to Home's Device Encryption. Does this mean Device Encryption and Bit Locker should be set in Pro? If so, where are the device encryption settings or does Bit Locker replace them?
Thanks.

2021-10-08T18:12:29+00:00 Bit Locker is optional in windows 11
if you want to use it then you need to learn how to use it and be very caution with it. can make you lose everything if you lose any keys that it setup

2021-10-08T18:29:05+00:00 Thanks. I get that.
It's the difference between Bit Locker and the standard Device Encryption I'm trying to understand. Where are the settings for Device Encryption?
