Narrator functionality broken?

I'm building a survey and as part of the process I'm using the narrator application to check my site is accessible. It's been a learning process and I know that my site isn't perfect.

There is one thing however that is absolutely unacceptable. When Narrator is turned on I'm unable to type any information into the datalist entries. However when Narrator is off I can write my answer and tab to the next input.

Can anyone offer advice as to how narrator handles datalist input and why it seems to block me from using keyboard in certain text boxes (not all)? Just as an aside, i'm also not able to use the chrome search bar with narrator turned on which means internet is impossible to access. I can make a codepen and share if this would be helpful.

Thanks for your help

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you’re facing issues with typing on the search bar when Narrator is enabled.

We will certainly look into this for you.

We tried reproducing the issue on our lab machines, and we found the same issue.

I commend you for bringing this to our notice, and I would encourage you to provide a feedback using the Feedback Hub app on Windows, so that our engineering team can look into this for you.

    Regards,
