Hi.

I was copying a file in Documents folder by right-clicking. Windows Explorer froze a moment and then Taskbar icons disappeared momentarily and reappeared.

    Understand.

    The release is recent, so some problems are appearing, such as it is already known that Winget is not working correctly, in your case, let's test some things, see if it solved after each one:

    -Have you tested restarting Explorer as I suggested?

    -Clean startup:

    Clean boot is for you to determine if a background program is interfering with your system or to optimize your system load.

    For clean boot follow the steps below:

    On the Desktop, press the Windows + R keys simultaneously to open Run;

    In the Run Menu type msconfig command and click OK to open System Configuration;

    On the Services tab, check Hide All Microsoft Services and Click Disable All;

    Click Apply and OK;

    Restart the computer.

    NOTE:This procedure disables all third-party services and programs. You can later, if the problem is solved in this way, enable the programs and services that will start with Windows, selectively, instead of keeping them all disabled. If the problem returns after activating the startup of a specific service or program, the problem is exactly in the startup of this software and it is recommended to remove it.

    -Right click on start, run PowerShell(admin) or Command Prompt(admin)

    Copy and paste the following command:

    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

    and press Enter.(Note: This step may take a few minutes to start and up to 30 minutes to complete).

    After you see a message saying "The operation completed successfully", copy and paste this command:

    sfc /scannow

    and press Enter.

    Wait for a message that says "Verification 100% complete".

    So add this command:

    chkdsk /f /r /b

    Confirm with "Y" and restart the computer for this last step.

    -New user account.

    Your user profile is a set of settings that make your computer look and work the way you want it to. It contains your desktop background settings, screen savers, pointer preferences, sound settings, and other features. Due to this variety of personal settings and changes caused by other programs can cause corruption of your user profile and malfunction in system usage hence the need for a new profile.

    On the Desktop, press the Windows + R keys simultaneously to open Run;

    In Run type control userpasswords2 and click OK; (There is a space after the control)

    On the Add tab, and Sign in without a Microsoft account (not recommended).

    Click to create a Local Account.

    Enter a username and password, add a password hint and click Next and then Finish.

    In the Users tab select the name of the new user click Properties;

    On the Group Membership tab check the Administrator option, click Apply and OK;

    Restart the computer and login to the new user account and see the behavior.

    If it solves the problem, you can transfer the data to the new user:

    In the admin user you created, press the Windows+R keys, type: %systemdrive%\users (in English and without spaces)

    and click Ok. Check your previous user's folder and click the left mouse button, it may take a while to process the data, in a few minutes access to your files will be released, select the folders you want to move, to copy them press (CTRL+C), to cut them press (CTRL+X) and to paste press (CTRL+V) in your new user.

    After migrating your data, delete your previous user: Press the Windows+R keys, type netplwiz and click OK. Select your previous user and click Remove.

    If nothing solves anything, use the Win+F shortcut to inform the developers, as the system has just been released, it's important to send your feedback on any issues you've encountered.

    Hi

    Thanks for replying.

    By file I mean any text document, pic, music etc. Anything I select copy/cut from right click and then when I press right click to paste them windows explorer stucks then crashes with taskbar icons gone. It reverts back to normal after some time.

    Btw If i paste using paste option in file menu at top or use ctrl+v it works fine

    AND

    When I revert my context menu to windows 10 one, it works fine.
