Hi, thanks for replying, and sorry for not replying sooner, I wasn't aware that a response had been given, until recently. Yes, the VM is running a Windows 10 Enterprise Evaluation with an expired license. I only use the VM for occasional testing, so I didn't think it was worth it to buy a full license for it. Actually, I could do all of my testing on a Windows 10 Home Edition, so if I have to get a license, I'd probably want to downgrade to the cheaper edition. Is that possible?
Hyper-V VM keeps randomly rebooting itself?
So I'm using the Hyper-V manager to run a separate instance of Windows 10 under Windows 10. For some reason, it just randomly reboots itself, while you're in the middle of work. No warnings, no dialog that it's about to reboot, it just reboots with no warning. It's not a failure, it goes through the steps of properly shutting down the VM, but it just gives you no choice in the matter. Any idea what could be causing this?

Please check system journal (Event Viewer) of VM for possible errors at these moments. DistributedCOM errors should be ignored.
Or save system journal to evtx file and share it to OneDrive for analysis.
Could it be these Windows instances in VM are not licensed and activated properly? Please note, each instance requires separate license.
