I understand it, thanks Dave.
Only, why I get a notice "Significant safety and quality corrections are missing from the device" ?
Hi Tatjana Trobec
KB5005611 is a preview update, there is no need to install Preview or Optional updates manually, unless your Windows system is experiencing problems that are fixed by that update, it is best to let Windows just automatically install the normal updates automatically
You can download the offline installer for KB5005611 from the link below, that is often more reliable, there are a few versions on that page, the version you need is the Windows 10 x64 21h1 version
Hi Tatjana Trobec
I am Dave, I will help you with this.
1
Click your Start Button, type winver and hit Enter
On the resulting dialog, what Version No. and build No. of Windows 10 are you running?
3
Open the Settings App (gear icon on your Start Menu)
Go to Update and Security - Windows Updates
What update(s) are showing as pending on your system?
Hi
You can use the Windows 10 update assistant to update your system.
This will upgrade you to the newest build - 21H1
Even though there are very less chances of data loss, I recommend taking a backup, just to be on a safer side.
Also, you may create a system restore point too.
Go to the following website:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/software-download/windows10ISO
Click on Update now. This will download a small tool.
Run it and update using that.
Also, if your PC is compatible with Windows 11, I recommend upgrading to it.
Check your PC's compatibility using the PC Health Check App
You can go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Updates > Check for updates and install Windows 11, or directly use the installation assistant.
Regards,
